বাংলাভাষা আন্দোলন

১৯৪৭ সালের দেশবিভাগের পর পাকিস্তানের শাসকরা আমাদের মাতৃভাষা বাংলার ন্যায্য দাবি উপেক্ষা করে কেবল উর্দুকে রাষ্ট্রভাষা করার চেষ্টা চালায়। ১৯৪৮ সালেই এর বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ শুরু হয়। ১৯৫২ সালের ফেব্রুয়ারি মাসে এই আন্দোলন চূড়ান্ত রূপ পায়। ছাত্রদের শুরু করা আন্দোলন গণআন্দোলনে পরিণত হয়। এই আন্দোলনের ইতিহাস খুবই সহজ-সরল ভাষায়, শিশু-কিশোরদের উপযোগী করে উপস্থাপন করেছেন আন্দোলনের সক্রিয় কর্মী রফিকুল ইসলাম।
 
After the partition of 1947, the Pakistani rulers denying the legitimate demand for our mother tongue movement tried to impose Urdu as a state language upon us. The protest against this began in 1948. The movement saw its pick hour in February 1952. The movements started by the students have changed its course into a mass movement.
