একুশের শহীদেরা বাংলাভাষার শহীদেরা

১৯৪৮ সালে শুরু হওয়া রাষ্ট্রভাষা আন্দোলনের হাত ধরেই বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের শুরু। ১৯৫২ সালের একুশে ও বাইশে ফেব্রুয়ারি ভাষার জন্য যাঁরা জীবন দিয়েছিলেন তাঁরাই বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিসংগ্রামের প্রথম শহীদ। অত্যন্ত প্রাঞ্জল ভাষায় এই শহীদদের পরিচয় তুলে ধরেছেন আন্দোলনে তাঁদেরই সতীর্থ ভাষাসংগ্রামী রফিকুল ইসলাম।
In the path of the state, language movement began in 1948, the struggle of liberation has started. Those who have sacrificed their lives on twenty-first and twenty-second February in 1952 are the first martyrs’ of liberation struggles.
